Playoffs – Game 2 3

Note: This article is a continuation of the series documenting the March-Westin playoff run.

The real #1 seed arrived ready to play for Thursday’s game against Galloway’s Florist. Not only more attractive than their stunt-doubles, the true March-Westinites are far better athletes.

Midway through the game Nick received some valuable swing coaching from Jackson, providing immediate improvement as he blasted one out of the park on his next at bat. Not to be outdone, Jackson stretched out a poorly handled line drive to the outfield for an in-the-park homerun.

Scott who was recently upgraded to the #9 position in the batting order, blooped to right field, which with his blazing speed, resulted in a stand up triple. Coach Tom was perfect at the plate, and if all of this was not enough, James did not even strike out (Editors Note: “newsworthy statistics are different for pitchers”).

Dave continues to suffer as he adds another injury to the growing list. This time a line drive takes a nasty hop and lands a vicious uppercut to his face. After the incident Scott was quoted as saying, “I’m not worried, those Lewis County boys, their tough.”

Also team pansy (Galloway’s Florist) demonstrated their lack of baseball experience as they mistook Coach Tom for Barry Bonds, intentionally walking him to pitch to Jennings, MW’s #3 hitter. In addition, it was overheard that the outfield played deep when Dave came to the plate, citing he was a ‘good hitter’. Both are obviously mental mistakes on their part.

When the dust finally had settled, March-Westin walked off the filed victorious with a final score 19-12. Westin will look to continue their success next week as the BOPARC NIT tournament continues.

Playoffs – Game 1 0

The #1 seed March-Westin failed to show up for their first playoff game of the Fall season as they faced the #8 seed Rollo’s Law Office. Instead a group of MW look-alikes arrived in their place. The only problem with this strategy is the impersonators were not nearly as talented as the actual March-Westin team.

Due to this turn of events MW dropped their first game of this double elimination playoff series 10-20.
